“Aiming at highlighting the special features of the region wine”
The winery of “Thivaiki Gi” located in Vagia Viotias, produces wines of quality and special taste characteristics that highlight the capabilities of the region of Viotia. TheVineyard is located in the area “Paliampelo” at the foot of mountain “Sphinx” and covers an area of 18 hectares.
Here coexists harmoniously the cosmopolitan varieties Merlot , Cabernet , Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc , Sauvignon Blanc , Syrah and the Greek Asirtiko , Malagouzia , Mouchtaro , and Savatiano . The linear planting , the bilateral configuration and the meticulous cultivation ensure excellent quality grapes for the wines of the company. The grape-pulp is fermented in small cooling strainless steel tanks with pre-fermentation extraction , so that the freshness of the grapes passes unaltered into the wine .
As soon as fermentation is completed some of the wines mature in oak barrels ,ensuring the development of aromas and flavors which culminates with the maturation in bottles.
It is a strenuous and continuous effort made by Panos and Sotiria Katrisiosis with the sole aim of creating authentic quality wines .
